Warranty Policy
Warranty Policy
At Espressimo, we stand behind the products we sell and aim to make genuine product issues straightforward to resolve.
This Warranty Policy explains Espressimo’s express warranty support for products purchased directly from Espressimo, including how we handle product faults, manufacturing defects and warranty claims.
This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under law.
Australian Consumer Law Notice
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
What this policy covers
Every product purchased directly from Espressimo includes a 12-month express warranty from the date of delivery, unless a longer express warranty period is stated on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.
This warranty covers faults caused by defects in materials or workmanship that arise under normal intended use during the applicable warranty period.
A covered fault is a fault caused by a defect in the product itself. It does not include damage or problems caused by misuse, accidental damage, incorrect setup, inadequate maintenance or the other circumstances listed under “What this policy does not cover.”
The remedy provided will depend on the product, the nature of the fault, this policy and the customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
12-Month Replacement Warranty — G3006 and G9010C
The Gemilai G3006 espresso machine and Gemilai G9010C coffee grinder include Espressimo’s 12-Month Replacement Warranty from the date of delivery.
If either product develops a covered fault under normal intended household use within 12 months of delivery, Espressimo will replace the affected product with a brand-new one once the fault has been confirmed through our assessment process.
This replacement promise applies to any confirmed covered fault during the 12-month period, subject to the exclusions and assessment requirements in this policy. A repaired, refurbished or reconditioned product will not be supplied as the replacement under this warranty.
When the G3006 and G9010C are purchased as part of an Essential or Complete bundle, the warranty applies separately to the included espresso machine and grinder. Only the affected product will be replaced.
Other products or accessories included in a bundle remain covered by Espressimo’s standard 12-month express warranty and applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a brand-new replacement of the same model is unavailable, Espressimo will contact the customer to agree on an appropriate new equivalent or another remedy. Nothing in this section limits any remedy the customer may be entitled to choose under the Australian Consumer Law.
Standard 12-Month Warranty
Unless a longer express warranty period is stated on the relevant product page at the time of purchase, every product purchased directly from Espressimo includes a 12-month express warranty from the date of delivery.
This standard warranty covers faults caused by defects in materials or workmanship under normal intended use.
Depending on the product and the nature of the fault, Espressimo may provide troubleshooting assistance, replacement parts, repair, replacement, refund or another appropriate remedy consistent with the Australian Consumer Law.
The Gemilai G3006 espresso machine and G9010C coffee grinder—including both products when purchased in an Essential or Complete bundle—receive the additional brand-new replacement remedy described in the previous section.
The standard 12-month warranty period does not limit any rights that may continue for longer under the Australian Consumer Law.
What this policy does not cover
Espressimo’s express warranty does not cover problems arising from:
-
Misuse, abuse, neglect or careless handling.
-
Accidental damage.
-
Improper installation, incorrect setup or use contrary to supplied instructions.
-
An unsuitable power supply, voltage problems or use with incompatible accessories.
-
Commercial or non-household use where the product is sold for household use.
-
Failure to carry out reasonable cleaning or maintenance.
-
Blockages, scale buildup, contamination or corrosion to the extent caused by poor water quality, inadequate cleaning, lack of maintenance, misuse or failure to follow supplied care instructions.
-
Cosmetic damage that does not affect the product’s function, including scratches, dents, finish wear or staining occurring after delivery.
-
Normal wear and tear.
-
Consumables and routine replacement items, except where they are faulty on arrival or fail because of a manufacturing defect.
-
Unauthorised disassembly, modification, repair or alteration.
-
Damage caused during handling by anyone other than Espressimo or an approved service partner after delivery.
These exclusions apply only to Espressimo’s express warranty and do not exclude or restrict any rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Dead on arrival or early fault reporting
If your product arrives damaged, incomplete or non-functional, or develops an obvious fault shortly after delivery, please contact Espressimo as soon as possible.
Prompt reporting helps us assess the issue quickly and, where appropriate, provide a faster resolution.
How to make a warranty claim
To request warranty support, please contact Espressimo and provide:
-
Your order number.
-
Your full name and contact details.
-
The product name and model.
-
A clear description of the issue.
-
Photos and/or a short video showing the problem, where possible.
-
Confirmation of any troubleshooting steps already attempted.
If further information is reasonably required to assess the issue, we may ask you to provide it before confirming the next step.
Assessment process
Espressimo may initially provide reasonable troubleshooting or diagnostic steps to determine the nature and cause of the reported issue.
Where necessary, we may require:
-
Additional photos or videos.
-
Proof of purchase.
-
Return of the product or affected part for inspection.
-
Reasonable cooperation with diagnostic steps.
Espressimo reserves the right to inspect the product, or have it inspected, before confirming that the issue is a covered fault and determining the appropriate remedy.
Troubleshooting and assessment do not remove the customer’s entitlement to a brand-new replacement under the 12-Month Replacement Warranty once a covered G3006 or G9010C fault has been confirmed.
Replacement, repair, refund or other remedy
For a confirmed covered fault affecting a Gemilai G3006 espresso machine or G9010C coffee grinder within 12 months of delivery, Espressimo will provide a brand-new replacement product under the 12-Month Replacement Warranty.
For other products, Espressimo will provide an appropriate remedy based on the nature of the issue, the standard 12-month express warranty and its obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.
For a major failure under the Australian Consumer Law, the customer may be entitled to reject the goods and choose between a refund and replacement. The customer does not have to accept the replacement offered under Espressimo’s express warranty if the Australian Consumer Law gives them the right to choose a refund.
Nothing in this policy limits any other rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Shipping and claim costs
If Espressimo confirms that a product has a valid warranty issue, Espressimo will advise the customer of the approved return, replacement, repair or collection process.
For an accepted claim under the 12-Month Replacement Warranty for the G3006 or G9010C, Espressimo will cover reasonable approved return and replacement-delivery costs.
For other valid claims, Espressimo will bear reasonable shipping, transport, return or inspection costs where required by the Australian Consumer Law.
Customers should not arrange return shipping or repairs without prior approval, unless otherwise permitted or required by law.
If an inspection determines that the reported issue is not covered by this policy or the Australian Consumer Law, the customer may be responsible for reasonable transport, collection or inspection costs where permitted by law. Espressimo will provide a reasonable estimate of any potential customer-paid costs before arranging collection or inspection.
Spare parts and practical support
Espressimo aims to support the machines we sell with practical after-sales assistance and, where possible, spare-parts availability.
Availability of specific parts may vary over time and by supplier. Where an exact part is unavailable, Espressimo will work with the customer to identify an appropriate next step.
Non-transferability
Unless required by law, Espressimo’s express warranty applies only to the original purchaser and products purchased directly from Espressimo.
Products purchased through unauthorised resellers, private sales or second-hand channels may not be eligible for support under Espressimo’s express warranty. Non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law may still apply where relevant.
When an express-warranty claim may be declined
Espressimo may decline a claim under its express warranty where there is evidence that:
-
The product was used in a way it was not reasonably intended to be used.
-
The reported issue was caused by external factors rather than a defect in the product.
-
The customer continued using the product after a fault became apparent in a way that worsened the damage.
-
Identifying labels, serial numbers or proof of purchase have been removed, altered or cannot reasonably be verified.
Nothing in this section limits any rights the customer may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
